Run Application as Administrator in Windows 7

Monday, 28 March 2011 18:31 by marat.adiev

In Windows 7 computer's security has been taken to a new level with User Accounts Control.

However, this new feature limits users in running certain applications that require extended administrator's rights.

You’ll notice that in Windows 7 there is no way to run an application from the run box in “Administrator” mode.

But you always can run application in this way:

Click the Start button , click inside the search box and type in something (cmd, for example)

Now instead of hitting the Enter key, use Ctrl+Shift + Enter. You will be prompted with the User Account Control dialog, confirm it and command prompt will be opened in Administrator mode.
